The current release is a Windows development preview. Installation and classroom deployment validation are still in progress.
Device lockdown is unavailable. Otterroom is not currently offered for high-stakes exams. Local-network use requires configured HTTPS and may need help from your institution’s IT staff.
We’ll publish tested system requirements and a compatibility trial before asking you to buy.
Good questions
A few things to know.
Where are exams and answers stored?
The host application stores them on the institution’s computer. In ordinary practice mode, learners may also have local browser drafts. The institution manages access and backups. A sales checkout is separate from the examination system.
Does “local” mean no setup?
No. The preview can be explored on its host computer. To connect other devices, the local network needs the documented HTTPS configuration, certificate trust and network access. We’re validating a clearer setup experience before release.
Will £50 include every future upgrade?
The intention is perpetual use of the purchased version. It is not a promise of lifetime support or all future major upgrades. The included update period will be stated before purchase.
Can Otterroom stop students opening other applications?
Not in the current preview. A normal browser cannot enforce device lockdown. Secure-client deployment requires separate validation and is not part of the current sales offer.
Are the certificates accredited or digitally signed?
They are records issued by your institution. An uploaded signature is visual artwork, not a cryptographic digital signature, and Otterroom does not confer accreditation.
